About Winery Tasting Fees
The Changing Barossa Landscape
The winery and tasting experience in the Barossa Valley is constantly evolving. Many wineries now charge a small tasting fee, typically $10 to $15 per person. This is becoming standard practice across the region.
Important: These tasting fees are set and collected by each individual winery, not by Barossa Wine Tours R Us. Tasting fees are not included in your tour ticket price.
The Good News
- Most tasting fees are redeemable on purchase - so if you buy a bottle, the $10 or $15 tasting fee comes off the price
- We make every effort to take our customers to wineries that have minimal or no charge for tastings where possible
- Our guides know which wineries offer the best value and will guide you accordingly
Each Winery Has Its Own Rules
Please understand that each winery we visit operates independently and sets their own policies regarding tasting fees. These policies can change without notice. We cannot guarantee free tastings at any particular winery, but we always aim to provide the best value experience for our guests.
