A boutique winery in the Barossa is a small, family-run producer — one of roughly 40 in the region — where the family still makes the wine and the cellar door pours a handful of tastings at a time, not a hundred.

10:00 AM — Pickup Within the Valley
We collect you from one of our 8 designated Barossa pickup points. Relax, chat, and enjoy the scenic drive through the valley.
Morning — Two Family Cellar Doors
Visit two boutique wineries. Taste wines straight from the barrel. Hear the stories behind each bottle from the people who made them.
Midday — Gourmet Lunch
A relaxed, proper meal at a local venue. Regional produce, wine pairings, and time to enjoy good company.
Afternoon — Two Hidden Gem Wineries
Continue with two more discoveries. These are the wineries you'll tell everyone about when you get home.
From 4:00 PM — Return Home
We drop you back at your accommodation, relaxed and happy. Plenty of room in the vehicle for any wine purchases.

What makes a boutique wine tour different from a regular wine tour?
Boutique wine tours focus on small, family-owned wineries rather than large commercial operations. You get smaller group sizes, personal attention, and access to wines that are only available at the cellar door. The winemaker often pours your tasting personally.
How many people are on each tour?
Our standard full-day tour runs with a minimum of 3 guests and a maximum of 20, in an air-conditioned mini bus. Most days sit well below the maximum. If you have a larger party, we also run private group charters for up to 60 people — just ask.
Do I need to know about wine to enjoy a boutique wine tour?
Not at all. Our guides and the winemakers we visit love introducing newcomers to wine. No pretension, no judgement — just great wine and genuine conversation.
Which wineries do you visit?
We visit four boutique cellar doors on any given day, drawn from a group that includes Tomfoolery Wines on Light Pass Road, Gibson Wines on Willows Road, First Drop Wines on Barossa Valley Way, Lambert Estate near Angaston, Cooper Burns, Ubertas Wines and Kies Family Wines at Lyndoch. The exact lineup rotates with the seasons and cellar-door opening hours, so tell us what you like and we will aim the day at it.
Is lunch included in the boutique wine tour?
Yes. A proper sit-down lunch at a beautiful local venue is included in your tour price. No extra charge. Cellar-door tasting fees are separate and may apply at some wineries.
Can you pick me up from my hotel?
We pick up from 8 designated points across the Barossa region — Tanunda, Nuriootpa, Angaston, Rowland Flat, Lyndoch and Gawler. We do not run transfers from Adelaide, which is why our day is six hours in the valley rather than three hours in a bus.
